5 January 2023

Our first meeting of the New Year included member Pete Shaw discussing focussing and the use of Depth of Field, particularly with the aid of the app Lens•Lab, which illustrates graphically how DoF is affected by changing settings or focal lengths. The app is especially effective in illustrating situations where DoF would be very narrow. The use and comparison of different focussing areas within the viewfinder was also discussed.

December images were viewed and the weather of course played a role, snow being a feature on several.  Others retreated indoors or into their imagination!
