Meeting: Thursday 3 March 2016

Allen Lloyd is going to give a talk on Landscape Photography, a key interest of many of our members, at our next meeting.

Our last meeting included viewing and critiquing two photographic challenges, 'Contrast' and 'Trace of Smoke'.  It's always interesting to see members' interpretations and learn about their techniques and places visited.

Pete Shaw gave a talk on Colour Management which was very well explained and received.  It has left us all thinking that we must be more critical of the way we set our cameras up, how we look at images on screen and make our choices for exporting these ready for printing. Much to be learnt!

Meeting: Thursday 18 February 2016

Club members, plus visitors from other clubs, family and friends, all enjoyed a splendid presentation by Tom Way at our last meeting.  In just four years from a standing start, Tom has worked hard to achieve success as a fine art wildlife photographer.  He now runs workshops and safaris, gives talks, exhibits, is published and has been successful in wildlife competitions.  Tom was frank about his failures as well as his successes and certainly shared his passion for his chosen career and Africa in particular.   He has been developing his style of animal portraits to become a good commercial success.

Our next meeting will include review of members' images for the topics 'Traces of Smoke' and 'Contrast' and Pete Shaw will talk about Colour Management.
